USA Today had an article on the newest technology available to anyone via the internet and using google maps. Called "Google Maps Mash-ups" - they take real-time data and link it to a google map. You can check it out at www.googlemapsmania.blogspot.com
There is a lot of information on this site. One I think is neat, is a combination of the maps and the price of gas, on this link at http://www.ahding.com/cheapgas/
