Family birthdays for the week

We have 4 "Franklin Family" birthdays this week and 2 "Baggett Family" birthdays. 

Christopher Pettit celebrates another birthday on Monday, March 26th.  Chris is a student at Wofford College in Spartanburg and is the son of my 2nd cousin Jamie Pettit, the grandson of cousin Dianne Pettit.

Also on Monday, March 26th, my dad Gene Franklin will be 86 years young!  We had a birthday party for him this past Friday night at Wade's in Spartanburg. 

Our oldest son, Joshua Franklin, will be celebrating #34 on Tuesday, March 27th.  Josh is pictured with his newborn son Hudson at Thanksgiving in SC. (Baggett family member also)

Payton Wilkie will be turning 11 on Tuesday, March 27th.  Payton is the granddaughter of my cousin Barabara Dorman Wilkie (and daughter of Annette Wilkie)  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Joel Baggett, Cindy's nephew, will be celebrating his 28th birthday this Weds, March 28th.  Joel is pictured with his girlfriend Betty.  Hope you have a great day!

On Tuesday March 20th my niece April Logan celebrates her birthday.  April works as a nurse in NYC and is pictured with her mom (my sister Debbie) at right.  Hope you have a great day!  

 On Saturday March 24th, Cindy's nephew Jeremiah Baggett celebrates another birthday. Jeremiah is pictured at left with his son Colin and is the grandson of Winnie Baggett. 

Also on Saturday March 24th, Cindy's cousin Nick Williams turns 9 !  Nick is the son of Christina (and Roger) Williams.  Hope you have a wonderful day!  

And also on Saturday March 24th, my cousin Jamie Pettit will be celebrating another birthday.  Jamie is the son of cousin Dianne Pettit.  Hope  you have a great day!

We are celebrating one Baggett family birthday and one Franklin family birthday this week! 

Cindy's uncle Leslie Baggett (left in photo with his brothers Kelsea and David, and sister Robbie) will be celebrating on Monday, March 12th.  Hope you have a great day! 

On the Franklin side of the family, my 2nd cousin Kimberly's son, Derek Randall, is turning 2 on Thursday, March 15th.  Derek is the grandson of my cousin Gloria Walker.  Hope you have a great day, too!

ACC tourney in Atlanta

A friend from church gave us free tickets to the Friday night session of the ACC tourney at Philips Arena. 

So we got to watch Duke beat Virginia Tech, and FSU beat Miami, to advance to today's round.  Duke plays FSU at 3 PM today/   It was our first time to see the Dukies in person!  Go Duke!

We are celebrating one Franklin family birthday this week and three Baggett family birthdays. 

Yesterday, Sunday March 4th, was the 18th birthday of James Bingham. James is the grandson of Cindy's brother Sam Baggett - and the son Sam's first daughter - Talitha Cabrera.  Hope you had a great day!  






Wednesday, March 7th, is the birthday of Cindy's cousin Sheryl Baggett Griego.  Sheryl is the daughter of Uncle Kelsea and Roxie Baggett.   (Pictured at left with her husband Anthony and daughter Sierra)

My sister, Loretta Franklin,  celebrates another birthday this Friday, March 9th.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Our youngest grandchild dressed for "Cowboys and Indian Day" during spirit week at the school where Janelle and Josh teach.   Josh said that he is SO big that he already wears size 3 diapers!

Duke vs UNC, tonight at 7 PM

One of the biggest games of the season happens tonight when the North Carolina Tarheels travel to Duke for the final regular season game in the ACC.  The teams are tied at the top of the conference so the winner tonight will be the ACC regular season champs.  Game time 7 PM !  

 This year's Duke team made a trip to China in August to gain some valuable playing experience. They were surprised to find so many Duke fans in China! 

Freshman Austin Rivers starts the season for the Blue Devils.  Currently known as Doc Rivers' son (the coach of the Boston Celtics) one of his goals is for his father to one day be known as Austin Rivers' dad :) 

Mason Plumlee, junior, has blossomed this year to become an important big man under the basket. 

 Coach K always giving positive instruction during the game. 

Dick Vitale will be calling the game on ESPN tonight at 7 PM! 

letters from the grands

How special is this?  We received letters from our three oldest granddaughters in February!   The picture to the left was from Meredith and she even addressed the envelope! 

 The letter to the right was written by our oldest grand, Natalie.  We were really surprised and happy to receive these valentines from our granddaughters! 

Brielle sent us a letter requesting help with her school fundraiser for the booster club.  How can you resist such a cute letter - "I love recess best" ! :)  

Thank you girls for sending us the letters!  Memories are made of this!
