He chose the 2006 model over a new 2005 because this is the year Toyota made slight changes to 4-Runner. They change something every three years, so the front grill and rear end have been re-designed for 2006. Looks like his Florida gator survived the wreck also!!
His new wheels will be great for long trips, except for the high price of gas right now. His 4-Runner is fully loaded, with a moon roof, leather interior, and 5-disc CD surround sound stereo(no GPS or satellite radio). I must say the ride is much nicer and smoother, as his 1999 4-Runner had a "bumpy" ride in the back seat. The 2006 model is also slightly larger.
