My wife and I have three sons and "daughters" and 16 grandchildren! "And this we know in our journey of life, whether green rolling hills or the desert bare and dry; in all things God works for our good, for those who love the Lord."

Pastor Appreciation Month
Another month is over. This year is "flying by"! When was the last time you wrote a note of thanks to your pastor? Well, October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Hopefully, you always appreciate your pastor, but this month try to do something special to show it - maybe send a card in the mail or an e-card. Words like "Thank You", and "I appreciate you" can never be said too much! Here are a couple of web sites to help you -
A Focus on the family site called The Parsonage is a good place to start.
I also found some good ideas at www.annieshomepage.com/clergyday.html - If you scroll down the page, you will find some suggestions on how to show appreciation to your pastor.
I found this quote on the site:
"Pastors who give their congregations only what they want are seldom able to lead them to new heights. If Moses had listened to the congregation and appeased them, the people of Israel would have returned to Egypt and bondage" (James A. Scott)
Hopefully, your pastor is one who listens to God for guidance and wisdom and vision. Let him know you appreciate him!
