mountain strings

I started thinking about vacation this weekend as I read this article in our local paper. The excerpt below is from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and was written by Thomas Swick, the travel editor. It reminded me of our trip to the Ozark Folk Center last summer.

It happens every spring, and lasts until the end of October,
this annual migration of fiddles, banjos, dulcimers and guitars to
Mountain View, Ark., a kind of melodious Capistrano of the Ozarks.
The musicians gather in the afternoons and evenings on the courthouse square, or in the neighboring "Pickin' Park"...
