listen while you surf

I found a new Christian site to listen to while surfing the internet, working online, doing schoolwork, etc. This site is free and is at www.vcyamerica.org and you can listen by dial up or broadband by clicking the link on the home page. Along with music, they have bible teaching and programs such as Unshackled and Crosstalk. I discovered this online radio station through reading about it at sharperiron.org. They interviewed Jason Janz one day last week on their Crosstalk program. At the crosstalk link, you can listen to previous programs at the "archived program" link.

  1. VCY is based out of Milwaukee, WI. It's our local Christian radio station, and compared to a lot of other "Christian" radio stations, it is pretty good... make sure you listen to yesterday's episode of crosstalk. It was very enlightening!

  2. I have been pleased with what I have heard so far on VCY. The local stations here in Jax have quite a mixture of programming.
"Family Radio" has some good programs, but then they broadcast the local First Baptist Church twice a day with their potpourri of music (gospel, ccm, jazz, traditional.) And the owner of the "Family Radio" network is a heretic. He currently believes we have no need for churches today, for example. He predicted the rapture would happen on Labor Day a few years ago. The other conservative station is "BBN" but we cannot hear that station on our side of town, and some of the music is more southern gospel and leans toward ccm style. There are several other AM and FM stations that play mainly southern gospel or CCM, etc., but you can catch the broadcast of various radio ministries. I am glad I found another radio station to listen to even if I have to go online to hear it. Otherwise, I listen to my collection of CD's and of course, talk radio, in the car going to and from work.
