As we traveled the interstate through Illinois recently, we saw these new windmills producing energy on a "wind farm" near Paw Paw, IL - in the middle of the cornfields, of course.
These are called wind turbines now (click to read more.) I added the picture of the older windmills below- the one that you probably have in your memory just to compare.
