Yo Yo Ma plays Ennio Morricone
This is a video post of Yo Yo Ma recording "Nella Fantasia" and other pieces for his CD. "Nella Fantasia" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I strongly recommend the CD "Yo Yo Ma plays the music of Ennio Morricone"
By the way, the tune for "Nella Fantasia" was originally called "Gabriel's Oboe" from the soundtrack a movie called "THE MISSION" Sarah Brightman convinced Morricone to allow her to sing the words of "Nella Fantasia" to this tune. You can also hear the song on the "Celtic Woman" CD as sung by Chloe. Someday I would like to find a CD with all the various artists singing or playing this song!
