it is official

Josh and Janelle will be moving to Pennsylvania in December. It finally is sinking in that we are not going to see them as often as we could when they were in South Carolina, only 5-1/2 hours away. Josh will become the Assistant Pastor at Hope Baptist Church in Hanover Pa.

This is the church where Janelle’s dad is the Pastor. Pastor Harris and family have been at Hope for about 5 years and now the church has grown so that he needs an assistant. The church “called” Josh and Janelle to come this past summer and after much prayer they have accepted the call.
Last year the church started a Christian school and Janelle will be teaching there in January. Josh will be working with the youth and helping with the music and visitation ministries. We are excited to see God leading in their lives and are praying that they have a very fruitful ministry.

  1. I know you will miss Josh and Janelle. You still have Brandon at home.. for now. It is so sad to me for them to all grow up and leave. However, that is what we raise them to do. This sounds wonderful for Josh. I know he will do good. Are they going to be home for Chrismas? I hope Cindy does a lot of good cooking for Christmas. How did her chocolate pie turn out? We had a good Thanksgiving...without any mess ups.Ha Ha!! Is Winnie coming down there for Christmas? I have a crockpot recipe book that I wanted to send Cindy. When Winnie comes again I will send it, if I can remember to get it to her.

    Have a good day,

  2. Joann,

I posted your email as comments on my blog called “It Is Official” from the other day, hope you do not mind. Now, to answer your questions. Josh and Janelle will not be here for Christmas this year. They are moving to PA on Dec. 21st and will celebrate Christmas with the Harrises this year. (our turn will be next year) But Stephen, Leah and Natalie are coming. We just found out they are flying in on Dec. 24 and will stay until Jan 4. Cindy says to tell you, No, her pies did not turn out as well as they should have. They were edible but better after being in the fridge. Winnie has not decided for sure whether she will come down here for Christmas. We will have to wait and see. By the way, we are trying to get a time-share at Fairfield Bay, just north of Little Rock for June 9th –June 16th. Josh and Janelle, Stephen and Leah and Natalie, and Brandon will join us for vacation. We will only be about 2 hours from you so we will be able to visit everyone while we are there. This is also about an hour from Mountain View. Maybe you can check with Rhonda and Carl, I know they were talking about a rafting trip down the Buffalo River. Maybe we can plan on it sometime that week.

I will post these comments on my blog so if you want to respond to it you can.( I will send the blog to you one more time with the comments)
