"Survivor, part 2" continues the story of how Ilse Eichner was able to escape from the concentration camp's death march and made it to the border. A very emotional story and a miracle that she survived. The article serves as a reminder to all as to what evil men can do when no one stops them.

As the war came to a close three months later, Ilse and other
prisoners were forced to leave the Auschwitz satellite work camp in a
death march designed to kill as many Jews as possible before Allies
could find and liberate them. After the third day, Ilse escaped and
eventually staggered toward the Czech border, where she collapsed. When
she awoke, she was in a Red Cross van on her way to a hospital in
Prague.
