Way back in the day, this used to be a special day for school kids, at least for my generation that grew up in the '60's. Today is the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president and my 2nd favorite president (after George Washington). He was born on February 12, 1809 in Kentucky. He served office from 1861-1865 (the Civil War years) and I often wonder how many terms he could have served if he had not been assassinated.
