This year we traveled to IL for our family vacation with Brandon and his family and Stephen and his family. We arrived (with Brandon's family) at the Fox River Resort after a long day of driving from Ga to IL. We left our house at 6 am and arrived at 9:30 pm EST (8:30 pm CDT) to check in. Stephen and family arrived after 11 PM. The resort booked our three units side by side and on the ground floor, units 80, 81 and 82.
After a good night's rest, the Stephen and Lead, Rachel and Cindy all went to the local Walmart about 30 minutes away to buy groceries (while Brandon and I took care of the kids). Then we ate sandwiches for lunch before heading to the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago at 1:20 pm. Perfect timing, PGM was about 1 hour and 20 minutes away and we made it in time for the 3 pm tour!
