looking for spring

We spent the past week looking all over for spring.  We traveled south to Charlie Elliott Nature Center for a church wide picnic, then checked out Alexander Park near our house, only to find  a lonely kite in the tree, no buds yet.   We can see signs of spring in our yard as the camelia and daffodils are both blooming.

enjoying the beautiful weather with a picnic last week
listening to the devotional by Pastor Stroup

Sun was warm, but wind was chilly by the lake.
We had fun discussing how the road came to be called "Murder Creek Church Rd" (the road to the lake)

Look closely and you can see the buds on this tree by the lake.

Took a nature trail hike with Cindy at the park -someone was following me.

We went for a walk at Alexander Park today and found no buds in this tree, just a lonely kite.  Poor Charlie Brown.

Signs of spring - daffodils in the back yard and camelias blooming in the front yard!
