Our oldest granddaughter at Alexander Park 

started off the new year with family in SC

not able to take a picture of all 23 of us! 

 Two of our sons and family joined us and drove over to SC to have lunch with my mom, sister, nephew and cousins on New Year's Day 2020

We had a blast and enjoyed our meals at Olive Garden. 
After lunch we went to see Dad's grave at Calvary Cemetery and other family buried at Thompson Chapel Cemetery.  
And on the way home we swung by Bob Jones University to see the Christmas lights on campus.

Home Alone this Christmas

We spent Christmas day "home alone" this year, watching "Home Alone 1 and 2" while decorating the tree and wrapping presents (and my wife cooking).  The grandkids are arriving this weekend so we will have a 2nd Christmas this year.

at Hobby Lobby and Cindy added the lights to decorate the truck. 

Backstory: Uncle Joel and his brother used to manage a Christmas Tree Farm for their mom and dad until it became too much  to handle!

This past Friday (Nov 1) our grandson Hudson turned 8!

I remember that we traveled to PA for his birth, but he came so many days late, that I had to leave Cindy there and travel back to GA to go to work.

vacation Monday was a beautiful day!

 at least Monday of vacation week was beautiful, a perfect  82 degree day! We enjoyed the park with the grand twins 

does this bring back some memories

We stopped at Smokehouse BBQ at the top of Monteagle Mountain for lunch and they have many antiques throughout the place.  This old ringer washer really brings back memories to me!  Like me, how many others can say they got their hand stuck in one of these when they were kids?
