drastic change in the weather for Jan 1st

What a drastic change in the weather for the first day of 2018! Just two days ago we were with the grands at Crabtree Park on the south side of Jax. After we left the hospital, we drove south through San Marco and San Jose Blvd noticing how not much has changed to this side of town since we moved ten years ago. We found a small park on University Blvd and our grands were the only ones there so that was nice. It was sunny and cool, cooler than usual I thought , but I was not prepared for the cold rain this morning, 35 degrees and windy. Biting cold! Now home to GA where it is to be 18 degrees tonight!

a simple kind of Christmas

With no children or grands coming to visit us in Georgia this year, we spent Christmas in SC with my parents. It was a "simple kind of Christmas" this year. Mom put up her tree in early November and has been watching Hallmark movies for the past month or so.

Mom helped dad open his presents since his fingers don't cooperate anymore. We bought him some new T Shirts and Hershey's Choc Santas to enjoy this week!
