There are lots of opinions about the ref's call Saturday night near the end of the Duke - Syracuse game.  Well, you can read the articles at the links below and watch the highlights and DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.   Jay Bilas, a Duke grad, was broadcasting the game on ESPN - along with Dickie V (Dick Vitale).  Jay Bilas immediately said the call was wrong.  Dick Vitale then says the call could have went either way -a chargeagainst Fair or blocking foul against Hood.  Jay continued to say the call was wrong but reminded everyone that the coaches reaction was more wrong and probably ended the game.  Dickie responds "that's no way to end a ball game."   Syracuse's coach ruined the end of a great game, whether you agree with the call or not - to rant and rave and say so many cuss words to the ref that was enough to receive two technical fouls and get himself thrown out of the game!

God makes everything beautiful with snow

Another snow and ice event began on Tuesday. This morning we woke up to a layer of snow and sleet covering everything.  

Snow like today reminds me of Psalm 51:7 which inspired the words to the old gospel song "Whiter Than Snow":  

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow." 

This evening shot from our front porch - 2 inches or more expected tonight. Makes for a beautiful sight this time of the year.

2014 must be the 

"Year of the baby"!

  Brandon and Rachel are expecting their 3rd child any day now.  

Josh and Janelle are expecting their 5th child in August. 

And we just found out last week that our son Stephen and Leah are expecting another baby, their 5th!
