First time to eat corn on the cob ---I think he likes it!
My wife and I have three sons and "daughters" and 16 grandchildren! "And this we know in our journey of life, whether green rolling hills or the desert bare and dry; in all things God works for our good, for those who love the Lord."

For the record... car repair finally !
We bought this car used in PA back in the summer of 2013 and I only expected to use it for 3-4 years but here we are 6 years later and this 2000 Ford Taurus is still running strong. There was a spot of rust that appeared a couple years ago near the driver's side back tire and it kept getting worse over time. I finally found a reliable body shop , recommended by our mechanics and took it to Alfa Body & Collision on GA 20. We are very happy with the results! They replaced the section of metal that had rust inside it and repainted so it looks like new!

for the record... spring flowers in Georgia
We enjoyed the flowers in our front yard this year! Some are annuals we planted but many are perennials and return every year for us to enjoy. We try to add a few more perennials each spring so that we don't have to plant the next year. And with two trees taken down in the yard, we have more sun and growing space. Hope the newly planted hydrangea (snowball bush) will do well as that is one of my favorites.

The Northern Army Strikes Again
Quite interesting to see what is left of the textile mill at Sweetwater Creek State Park...just a short moderate hike and you find the ruins. We even walked into a crew that was filming a scene from a movie there.
The Northern Army burned most of the structure during the Civil War March through Georgia!

Our oldest son and his kids received Duke hats
from a friend in the ministry.
The hats included a handwritten note from the head coach himself!

one of my favorite memories, going to Cloudland Canyon with my future wife!
While dating in college , we loved to travel to Cloudland Canyon
on a Saturday to enjoy the view and to hike.
The state park in GA was only about 30 minutes from campus.
So we are heading back to the park this week
to make some new memories
and to celebrate our 42 years of marriage.
This photo was from 44 years ago in 1975!
