a simple kind of Christmas

 With no children or grands coming to visit us in Georgia this year, we spent Christmas in SC with my parents. It was a "simple kind of Christmas" this year.  Mom put up her tree in early November and has been watching Hallmark movies for the past month or so.  

 Mom helped dad open his presents since his fingers don't cooperate anymore. We bought him some new T Shirts and Hershey's Choc Santas to enjoy this week! 

 We gave mom a 2018 Kincade calendar and a Christmas book by Mike Huckabee. 

We also replaced all the old pictures in their kitchen with two photo collage 
frames with new pictures of their 20 great-grandchildren.

In the midnight darkness of a Baltimore hospital in 1967, Joni Eareckson begged God to heal her. Weeks earlier, the 17-year-old girl had broken her neck after diving into unexpectedly shallow waters in the Chesapeake Bay.   The result: paralysis from the shoulders down. Duke wins first round game of PK80 turnament

Duke wins the first round game at home in the PK80 tournament. The tournament is a celebration of Phil Knight's 80th birthday. Phil Knight is the co-founder of Nike. 

Duke defeated Furman 92-63 on Monday night , Nov 20th and will play in round two game on Thursday afternoon.

Our grandson Hudson 
turned 6 on Nov 1st.  I still remember waiting through the October snowstorm for his arrival, but Hudson decided to come late, and I had to drive home and go back to work.
