basement remodel

Thanks to "accidental water flooding" in the corner of our basement, our homeowners insurance paid to repair and replace most of the carpet in the basement.  We had some work done this week to replace the damaged ceiling tiles and the basement door.  The carpet will be installed Tuesday.  We are very thankful this did not happen when our house was full Christmas week! Here are some photos of the progress - I will post some after photos next week.

New exterior door installed

8x10 section ruined by water;
new baseboard installed and painted

We will pay a little extra
to replace carpet on stairs
